CBA Membership Process
The CBA is a private, member-supported association, representing 54 eligible homes, dedicated to the preservation, maintenance, and responsible enjoyment of our shared beach and community properties.
Membership provides access to CBA-managed beach areas and participation in a community that values stewardship, safety, and respect for the natural environment. Members support ongoing maintenance, compliance with local regulations, and long-term planning efforts that help protect and enhance the beach for current and future generations.
Prospective members are encouraged to review the Membership Application materials, which outline eligibility requirements, member responsibilities, and applicable rules and agreements. All applications are reviewed in accordance with the Association’s governing documents.

1. Realtor or Title Company Notifies the Association
Prospective new homebuyers and realtors are encouraged to learn more about buying or selling our home located within our association by checkout out Our Community page. Once we are informed of a pending sale, we will reach out with important membership information and answer any questions you may have. To contact us, please click here. Please check to ensure the home being purchased is an eligible property within the defined area of Cocoanut Bayou Association.
2. Complete the Required Forms
Prospective members are required to complete and submit all applicable Membership Forms.
3. Board Review
Once all documents are received, the Board reviews the application. Review typically takes up to 30 days, though many are approved sooner.
4. Payment of Fees
One-time joining fee
Annual dues (billed each calendar year)
Joining fee can be collected at closing and be submitted upon approval, or can be mailed to address listed below
5. Activation of Membership
Upon approval and payment, beach access and membership privileges are issued.
